ACCAP – Chores & More Program (763) 783-4767 The Chores & More Program is for older adults 60 years of age and older who reside in Anoka County. Volunteers are needed to do various household services including housekeeping, minor home repairs, and seasonal chores such as lawn mowing, lawn clean-up, and snow removal. ACCAP – Senior Kinship Program (763) 783-4745 The Senior Kinship Program offers a one-on-one service, where volunteers provide assistance and friendship to isolated or homebound seniors (60 years of age and older) throughout Anoka County. Some services include companionship, outings, running errands, and providing medical and non-medical transportation. Through community exposure and interactions with our clients, Senior Kinship Volunteers further ACCAP’s mission by empowering seniors who are low income. In return, our volunteers create lifelong friendships and the opportunity to give back to their community. Volunteers may serve between 2 – 40 hours a week, depending on client demand and availability of volunteers. Some volunteers may be eligible for their meals and transportation (portal to portal) to be reimbursed while they volunteer.
