Anoka/Washington County’s Head Start-Early Head Start program provides education, nutrition, mental health, school readiness and parent engagement services to children and families from income eligible households. Our approach is to provide high-quality educational curriculum while connecting families with growth and learning opportunities. Head Start offers home-based programs with socialization for pregnant women and children through age five. Our center-based program operates classes for ages 3-5 at our five centers, with options for part-year and full-year. Anoka/Washington County Head Start-Early Head Start consists of all of the Head Start and Head Start partners in Anoka and Washington County. These many sites are managed and operated from the ACCAP Head Start building in Coon Rapids. Head Start is a national program.
